How to download a video from Twitter or Facebook
This article explains how to upload a video you've seen on Twitter or Facebook.
When you see a video on Twitter or Facebook that you like and want to either keep it on your computer or share it with someone outside the social network where you watched it, it's interesting to know how to download it.
(Please note that some protected videos will still be inaccessible by the means described below).
1. From Twitter
- Right click on the Twitter video.
- Select "Copy video address".
- Go to https://ssstwitter.com/.
- Paste the previously copied address into the input field.
- Click on "Download".
- Wait a few seconds.
- Click on the link of the desired format to download the video.
2. From Facebook
- Click on the three points of the drop-down menu at the top right of the message containing the video.
- Select "Copy Link".
- Go to https://fdownloader.net/.
- Select your good choice on top of the page (video, reel, private video)
- Paste the previously copied address into the input field.
- Click on "Download".
- Wait a few seconds.
- Click on the "Download" button for your preferred video resolution
This site also offers a slightly more cumbersome technique for downloading videos marked as private.
But there's no need to panic: it's relatively simple and works perfectly.
UPDATE (04/04/2024)
While researching how to download Facebook shorts, I just came across this site that apparently lets you download videos from the major social networks.
I haven't tested it thoroughly. It works for shorts, anyway. It's up to you to find out.
